I am deeply passionate about orthodontics, aiming to provide exceptional care in a welcoming and enjoyable environment. It’s a joy to get to know each patient and positively influence their lives by enhancing both their oral health and self-esteem through orthodontic care. Seeing the transformative impact on my patients’ lives is immensely rewarding.
EDUCATION AND EXPERTISE
After obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oregon State University, I earned my Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU), graduating with honors. I also hold a Master’s in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from OHSU. As a certified Invisalign® expert, I am a member of several prestigious dental associations and the founder of an orthodontic study club.
PERSONAL LIFE
An Oregon native, I’ve been active in outdoor activities and scouting from a young age. I currently live in Tigard with my wife Sarah, a veterinarian, and our two sons. We’re a family that loves the outdoors, community activities, and are avid Oregon State University fans. Yes, I’ve experienced braces firsthand, which adds a personal touch to my professional journey.

I became interested in orthodontics from having braces at a young age and enjoyed my positive experience with my own orthodontist. I look forward to creating the same cheerful environment as I enjoy building relationships with my own patients. I value being a well-rounded practitioner with innovative research experience, expert clinical skills, and strong interpersonal connections. You can expect to be treated in a warm and friendly environment. I will listen to your needs and make sure that you are comfortable during treatment and ecstatic to get the smile of your dreams!
Education and Expertise
I received my Bachelor of Science in Physiology at UCLA and earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at UCSF. I continued to pursue my passion for orthodontics and finished my residency in Orthodontics at UCSF as well, receiving my Orthodontics Certificate and Master’s in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. I am certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction that represents the commitment to the standards of specialty practice and life-long learning. I am also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and American Dental Association.
PERSONAL LIFE
I was born and raised in California, living in both LA and SF my entire life. I am excited to have ventured up to Oregon to experience the nature and food scene! I love trying new restaurants and spending weekends at local cafes or boba shops. I recently adopted a French Bulldog named Binky and spend most of my time monitoring his underbite! I enjoy action and superhero movies, especially Marvel! My guilty pleasure is watching Korean dramas on Netflix and KPOP performances on YouTube. I love traveling to visit my sister in Hawaii, parents in California, and relatives in Canada. One of my goals for the next year is to train for a marathon and learn to play guitar!
